Countdown to 2008.

Monday 12/31/2007 is a PTO for me due to the eagerness of the management of SMH to leave work early. The part-timers are off from work because there is not enough time for us to work since everyone is leaving by noon-time. Yahoo. This is a great time for me to catch up on my steno work. We had to reschedule a few ULS appointments since we had too many techs off for the New Year. Oops.

Remember the black eye peas to bring good luck for the 2008 New Year. What will your New Years resolution be? My resolution is to reach 180 WPM steno by the end of the year.

I will wager any amount you choose that you will reach that 180 goal. Especially if you can locate some extra hours in your days ;)

Happy New Year!

I figure the black-eye peas are for luck and the onions we put on them are to keep everyone else out of our faces!

How did you know, 01 doc? Tonight I had left-over blackeyed peas and cut some onion pieces into them. 'Course I put some slices of cranberry sauce over all of it. The creative cranberry juices were flowing. Yum!

Oh, wow - that ESP thingy is still working. We did chili in honor of the cold weather. I slathered a bunch of left over onion slices on top and - here's the scary part - had a small glass of cranberry juice.

Would you believe, I have never done home-made chili? That I can remember, anyway, and one would think I would. It sounds so good, too. My usual recipe begins: take a can of Hormel Chili with Beans ...
