Parrots and shower pictures.

Seven of the green parrots saw me standing in the backyard and landed for a visit. They made a few sounds as I spoke to them about their absence over the past few months. Bread does not seem to be on their menu and bird seed does seem to be their favorite. The parrots flew close over me in a V while looking down as they flew off to the south. My next trip to Publix will contain a small bag of bird seed in case the parrots decide to visit me again.

The pictures of Zoe's baby shower which was held last Friday were e-mailed to everyone with thumb nails. The e-mail was too large to send to my personal e-mail address from my office network. My next step is to combine the pictures in a zip file when I can find more time between patients. My camera was sitting on the kitchen table during the shower, ops. Luckily, another employee had his camera with him which saved me from making a quick trip back home to retrieve the forgotten item. Between the balloons, food, wrapping paper, and misc. list, the camera was left behind. Snap, snap, snap.

Our Red-Front Amazon, Cuga - says hey to your flock from Lake City! Before Hurricane Andrew, there was a flock of yellow and green parrots that perched the night in our seagrape in the back yard. We really missed those birds after the storm passed. Nice to know some are still around!

There are baby somethings a-nest high in the Poinciana out front. I hear them begging their parents, sometimes. i don't think they are Mockingbirds. Maybe Grackles.

I gather food is not scarce for these exotic birds. They can be finicky when they want to and demand Bird seed. I'd give 'em bread anyway just to make them go away. Do you know what they do to my car?

Do they leave a nice white present? Since the lake is to the north of my house, the birds head that direction which is opposite of the parked vehicles.

Yes, they leave a nice white present behind. See, there are trees in the front yard and they love to relax while they do their thing.

WW Lake is South and West of our driveways, which are evidently right below a major avian flight path.

They must think we would be hurt if they didn't leave us with some evidence of their flyovers.

Got to thinking about your original post where you said they flew in a V over your head. Seems like that's the time to worry about white presents being deposited - the car would be a shelter but the feeling of hot fresh - stuff - in your hair would be most awful. Our girl just splats in her cage.

The thought did occur to me about the bounce of a present over my head as the parrots left from the fence. They seemed to be in a hurry on take off and they didn't eat any bread which allowed me to think, I was safe for the moment. Luckily, there have never been any white substances from above as my feathered friends flew by. Maybe it is just a matter of time, or they really do leave a present on purpose. I often wonder if birds can be vindictive our just creatures of habit.

"Ready, aim, fire. Look! Shes running for cover. HAHAHA. We want wheat bread next time."
