Intoduce yourself.

My computer professor had each student stand up and give a small speech. We had to explain were we worked, what we do interesting in our spare time, and why we are taking her class. My interesting topics were, bike riding, yoga, and dining out. A few students mentioned they worked and attend school all the time. These activities consume most of their spare time. Yes, I too felt the same way. Yoga, when homework is not behind or a test is around the corner. A few answers were, DJ on weekends for extra money, visit with friends, work for an AM station selling commercial time, self employed, drive the Monorail at Metro Zoo, trips to Key West, ULS Tech, MRI Tech, Patient Registration for a hospital. Four people worked in the medical insurance field. Fishing, volley ball, swimming, and yoga were the most popular answers. Not one person said build and design computers. A few students complained about the rising cost of gas which does have a chain reaction. My favorite answer not mentioned, rest.

Wonder why nobody said they worked in computer design... maybe cause they're where they're meant to be work-wise? I chose Rest as a fave. activity. That and browse weblogs!

Could it be that those people who do the computer design/build thing are already making the bucks in their chosen field? I mean, if you could build and design 'em, you would be so knowledgeable that people would be after you all the time for advice. No? Wouldn't you be a guru?

Isn't S our favorite guru?

Reminds me, I need to ask him about a USB hub . . .

Yes, S. is our favorite guru. I noticed S. is more alert in the evenings than in the mornings when I ask him questions about computer programming. Aunt Doc01 mentioned about the days S. was sitting in front of Tropical drawing pictures of computer games in his mind. Some of those drawings are sitting in a box waiting for his return.
