The lantern was our weekend house project for the kitchen. The fixture matches the chrome and black kitchen appliances plus we now have plenty of light to read with. We plan to purchase a round light bulb which will match the shape of the glass bottom portion of the lantern.

Looks cool, the question is can I walk under it? It looks the have that cobalt blue design behind the chrome, or is that just a reflection of light. If it is a reflection of light, I'm surprised it doesn't have that cobalt blue design with it. At least, you're not into pink. Your house would look like Pepto-Bismol.
I REALLY like the new light. It's sort of like a warehouse fixture, only way more personality and glam. It's good to have light in the kitchen area!

The light is hanging over the kitchen table which will allow you to walk into the room without concern. The lantern is all silver; no cobalt this time. We also have a second lantern which we are still pondering were to hang in our home.
I like the design of the new light, too. You wouldn't know, yet, but lots of light becomes important later in life ...
