The sun was shinning for a couple of hour’s yesterday morning and it was so nice. Then, it rained for the remaining portion of the day. Today, we have dark clouds rain, and a cool breeze.
Our neighbor cut down the large tree in his backyard to make room for an addition for his home. Unfortunately, the Blue Jay's empty next also went with the tree elimination. We noticed the Blue Jays moved to another neighbors yard with a huge tree which has more tree limbs to choose from. Hopefully, they will be safe in their new home.
An inspector arrived to our home as requested by us to give us pointers on how to make our home safe from hurricanes in the future. We have to replace the front door and the back double glass sliding door; after all, they are original portions of our home. loll. H20 leaks under both doors when there is a hurricane and we are tired of fighting the battle between the water and furniture. So far we have been lucky and won every hurricane with victory. The last hurricane storm was a close call because we had to use all the comforters, sheets, and towels in order to save H20 from furniture legs.

And then you had to dry everything with no electricity!
We may have to go back to nature again, this year. A generator is beginning to look more attractive, even though the noise level is awful.

Can you believe there have already been 2 named storms and we're just barely into the season? AND there's a cold front predicted to be passing through.
There have been two named storms... a cold front is coming through... boy, I have been missing everything since my time has been taken up by what I am doing now. I'll enjoy the cold front. I don't mind rain that is soft. It is the hard stuff that is hard to see through that I don't like.
Big Ed, I'm with you on the soft rain stuff. If rain has hard pieces in it, it's either hail or really big heavy drops and unless it's falling on the fires north of us, I really don't need to feel it falling on my head.
My vote is for Comfort Suites. This year, I might book a hotel room before a large hurricane hits our area and take my chances on losing one night stay.
