Gone Fishing

St went on a fishing tournament this morning organized by his employer. He left at midnight and they were in the water by 2 a.m. Every year, employees who wish to participate can win cash prizes after they weigh in the biggest fish. After the fishing tournament, a BBQ picnic was also organized by his employer at a park located in Miami Beach. ST was given a tee-shirt and a hat a week before the final count down. Alfred (ST's best friend), Marco, (brother of Alfred), and Carlos (ST's future father-in-law) were a team. They rode in a boat Carlos owns, and yes, GPS was also included. The first prize was $1,600.00 ,and the second was $300.00. Please note, the cash prizes have to be shared among the fisherman. We all know they are having a great time. Swish, Swish, there goes another big fish.

I'm gonna suppose they caught some fish. I figure they didn't get the grand prize, but they had fun and fell asleep in the boat.

When will we find out how they did? Sunblock all round and enjoy!

Did they bring the fish home to eat? Uncle Tommy always had fish in the freezer and bunches of pictures of dead fish bodies lined up in the yard. Ahhh the memories!

Yes, the King Fish is in my freezer. A cooking show called License to Grill showed this recipe on Sunday. Next weekend we plan to BBQ the fish with thin slices of ham, and thin slices of potato wrapped around the edge of the fish steaks. Foil was placed on the grill with oil brushed on surface to use for cooking the combination. ST brought home one King Fish, and hopefully, this recipe will turn out fine.

Sounds Yum! We used to brush with mayonnaise, sprinkle generously with lemon pepper and Mrs. Dash and a skosh of lime juice and broil in the oven. Garlic toast and your choice of sides.
