AT&T did not go on strike; however, the employees are working without a contract. District 4 settled. All the other districts did not settle and held strong until midnight. Many of us stayed up past our bedtime out of curiosity.
Our banks ATM was temporarily out-of-service. All I we wanted to do was deposit a check, not even request cash back. SOOooooo, we placed the envelope in night deposit box. Hopefully, the bank employees will deposit the check into our account. Or the check will fly to a place of No Return.
My phone still works. My DSL still works.
ReplyDeleteMy ATM? Dunno, maybe they'll put your check in my account. If so, I'll invite you to Vegas. :)
ATM and phone all working - last time I checked, that is. Does AT&T offer DSL out where we live? No. But they are the carrier for the satellite company through something called Wild Blue. I'm about to break down and go faster on the 'net. We'll see how the old ATM does after the monthly payment to DirecTV. It'll probably be gasping for breath at the end of the month! :/
ReplyDeleteLOL. The Vegas trip will have to wait. The check appeared in the account later in the day. I mentioned to the teller that most deposits when I worked for a bank were processed in the morning. She was quiet after that statement. I think she was running late on her deposit work that day. She was more than likely making deposits between customers. Go faster on net. Nice.
ReplyDeleteWas the money deposited safely? Inquiring minds....
ReplyDeleteLiet us know when the speed increases - we will type faster! :}
ReplyDeleteI remember when M told me that the Union logo CWA meant company wins always.
